SATURDAY, APRIL 13th 2019

1 - 3 PM // The Point East Boston


It is time to channel your inner Body Goddess, RuPaul Sass and Cardi B Queendom as you learn the basics of super sassy Hip Hop and lots of floorwork goodness. This will be a sweaty workshop open to every level of dancer (especially those who have two left feet!) This is a no-judgement and no expectation, FUN dance experience. Leave your worries and inhibitions at the door! We will learn body rolls, body isolation (hips & torso), basic steps & more. The Dance session will be one hour of dance freedom, followed by a 1 hour dance heavy Buti Yoga class with a KILLER, booty poppin’ playlist.

Expect lots of sweat and some old school tunes, Missy Elliot, Rihanna Janelle Monea and Queen B, smiles, and body freedom. You will leave a much more embodied and confident dancer and most likely feeling like a Queen.

SPRING EQUINOX Black Light Buti Glow

FRIDAY, MARCH 22nd 6:30 - 8:30PM // Wonder Yoga Arlington

Join Wonder Teachers Shira Brenner and Allison Jones for the next installment of Black Light Buti Yoga! This workshop aligns with the Full Moon in Libra and Spring Equinox occurring just two days before on March 20th. The symbol for Libra is the scale which signifies balance and harmony. This pairs perfectly with the Equinox – where day and night are temporarily equal. We’ll celebrate both the light AND the dark, the masculine and the feminine, the Sun and the Moon. This two hour workshop includes a 60 minute Buti® yoga practice – celebrating rebirth – the fullness of the Moon and the warmer season ahead. We’ll balance it all out with a 45 minute restorative practice and extended savasana.

We’ll provide glow sticks and glow paint – come wearing white or neon so you glow in the dark! Get all dolled up downstairs in our lounge and then kick it off with a group pic – before the sweat starts rolling!

Buti® Yoga is a yoga inspired workout that includes yoga postures, tribal dance, cardio and high intensity interval training. No previous experience is necessary although it’s best to come hydrated and prepared to sweat. Register here or below.

BUTI YOGA & FREEING THE SPIRIT WORKSHOP SERIES

In this series we will tap into our strength, unleash our wild side, rev up our creativity, our innate wisdom, and endless freedom.

By moving our bodies, expressing our uniqueness, laughing and sweating into bliss, we will shed our external layers of ego and explore what it feels like to tap into our power. The physical component of class will be 60 minutes. This is a barefoot practice. There will a description of the Chakras, guided discussion, and possible writing. Please bring a notebook, a pen, and water to hydrate!
